The Challenge
Employees are usually resistant to change. They have a way of working that works for them, and not necessarily for the business. They see the introduction of CRM as another tool that stops them doing their job. They see the data entry as a cumbersome hurdle. So how do you get your employees to adopt CRM?
Show Value
Demonstrate what the CRM can do for them. Show them the benefit of dashboards to see their funnel, their potentials and their tasks. Automate tasks and actions to reduce their workload. Show them how reports can be scheduled to coincide with meetings. Show them the benefit of being able data about their customers wherever they are.
Keep It Simple
No one likes filling in forms and nobody likes looking for fields to fill in. Keep the record design simple. Reduce and remove unnecessary fields so that they are not a distraction. Move the key fields to the top of the form to make them quicker to access. Only make fields mandatory if they really are needed. Remove tabs if they are not relevant to a particular role.
Schedule Reports
We all have reports that are needed on a repeated and regular basis – for example a Potentials Report for the weekly Sales call. Build the report in Zoho CRM and then schedule it so that Zoho runs the report and e-mails it to the employee when they need it.
Import Data
With new CRM installations there can be many current repositories of data – e-mail, Linkedin, spreadsheets, etc. The thought of manually entering this data is a nightmare. If employees have data in spreadsheets or it can be exported to a spreadsheet save time and reduce errors by importing the spreadsheet into Zoho CRM.
