Following Zoholics 2015 a number of people requested how to access the presentation “Setting up Zoho CRM for your Business” which was delivered by Bill Quinn.
The key points in the presentation (time slot was 30 minutes long) were:
- CRM is about placing a structure in your business.
- CRM is about process your companies processes. The tool should adopt to your processes and not the other way around.
- Before deploying Zoho CRM define your goals – this is how you measure the success of your deployment
- Don’t forget the Users of Zoho CRM – the tool needs to be well designed so that your Users will want to use it.
- Use Profiles to restrict what people can and can’t do – for example deleting data or downloading data
- Good data in means good data out – Keep / Input quality information only.
- Engage with a Partner – even just for some some Q&A. Zoho Partners have seen a number of different scenarios and can advise based on experience. Zoh Partners have also seen a number of instances where the Company tried it themselves and failed – the unpicking of a poorly implemented CRM can be horrendous.
- Don’t forget to train all Users on how to use the CRM and the process around the CRM.
- Review the CRM usage against your original goals and User experience, what can make it better?
