In this interview with The Times of India, Sridhar Vembu, CEO of Zoho talks about his early life, what influenced him to be an entrepreneur, starting Zoho and why Zoho stays in private in ownership.
“I will not take venture capital, I will not do an IPO. We have said no to a number of acquisition proposals. Some people think it is more profitable to do financial engineering than focus on products. Even for the economy, it’s a terrible idea. If India focuses on finance, like it is beginning to do, we will end up like Italy and Spain with some 30% unemployment. The world economy’s troubles are because of this financialization” – Sridhar Vembu, CEO of Zoho.
